About 1200 square meters in size and with a 12000 square meter park-like garden overlooking the beautiful Knysna lagoon Parkes Manor was reopened in 2013 as a prestigious and elegant guest house.
Pool & Garden.
Take a cool dip into our pool and savour the warm African sun. You may also retreat to the shady gazebo on a hot summer’s day. We also have our own tee and putting green for the golfing enthusiasts.
Verandah & Lounge.
Enjoy the beautiful lagoon view from our verandah on a bright and sunny day. The lounge is the perfect place to relax and enjoy your afternoon tea. The fireplace keeps you warm and comfortable on chilly winter evenings.
Bar & Restaurant.
Make new friends in our cosy bar and have a drink from our extensive menu. We offer a sumptuous breakfast with a cold buffet and hot á la carte menu. Dinner is also available every night (see Glenshiel Restaurant).
Back-up & Security.
No more load sheddings as we are solar powered. An ozone filtered borehole serves as an independent water supply in case of water restrictions. There is free parking within the fenced property and a night guard on duty.
